THE ZMF MASH-WEST CHAIRMAN HELPS TO DEVELOP CHAKARI PRIMARY SCHOOL

KADOMA|A new chapter of transformation and hope was written at Chakari Primary School in Mashonaland West after The ZMF Mash-West Chairman Mr Timothy Chizuzu officially handed over a newly constructed durawall and modern gate in a development initiative that has been hailed as a major milestone in uplifting the learning institution.
The colorful commissioning ceremony brought together community leaders, parents, teachers, learners, School Development Committee members and various stakeholders who gathered to celebrate what many described as a practical demonstration of patriotism, visionary leadership and community empowerment.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony, Mr Chizuzu said he was inspired by President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s development philosophy, “Nyika Inovakwa neVene Vayo,” which calls upon citizens to actively participate in building and transforming their communities.
Mr Chizuzu said development should never be left to the Government alone, but must be embraced by every patriotic Zimbabwean who desires to see communities prosper and future generations thrive.
“It is a great honour for me to stand before you today as I officially hand over this gate project to Chakari Primary School,” said Mr Chizuzu.
He said when he first visited the school, he was touched by the condition of the entrance infrastructure and immediately felt compelled to contribute towards restoring the image and pride of the institution.
“When I visited this school, I noticed that despite the important role the school plays in shaping the future of our children, there was no standard gate comparable to other schools. I felt challenged to contribute toward improving the image and environment of the school,” he said.
Mr Chizuzu applauded parents, teachers and community members for working hand in hand to ensure the successful completion of the project, saying national development can only be achieved through unity and collective responsibility.
“This project could not have succeeded without teamwork and cooperation. I want to sincerely thank the parents, teachers, community members and all stakeholders who supported this initiative. Your contributions, whether financial, physical or moral, made this project possible,” he added.
He further emphasized that the project directly complements the Government’s National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2), which prioritizes infrastructure development, educational advancement and community participation as key pillars towards achieving Vision 2030.
The Chakari Primary School headmaster described Mr Chizuzu’s intervention as a transformative act of generosity that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
“We are deeply humbled by the gesture shown by Mr Timothy Chizuzu. What he has done for this school goes beyond infrastructure development. He has restored confidence, dignity and pride within our institution,” said the headmaster.
He further applauded Mr Chizuzu for embracing President Mnangagwa’s philosophy of community-driven development.
“Mr Chizuzu has demonstrated true leadership through action. He has shown that patriotism is not about words only, but about investing in communities and empowering future generations. This is the spirit that will help Zimbabwe attain Vision 2030,” he added.
The initiative by Mr Timothy Chizuzu has not only enhanced the school’s security and appearance, but has also reignited the spirit of collective responsibility and national development within the Chakari community.
